JOB PURPOSE
The Programme Associate (Social Mobilization & Communication) is responsible to support the development of social mobilization, beneficiary outreach and communication strategies and coordinate the effective implementation of these activities in the field. The Programme Associate (Social Mobilization & Communication) will report to the Project Manager PMU.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
The Programme Associate (Social Mobilization & Communication) will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Ensure the overall management and supervision of activities regarding social mobilization, beneficiary service and communication for the nutrition project;
- Support the development of the project’s Communication Strategy and content design;
- Coordinate and organize public information campaigns, announcements, advertisements, and road shows to educate masses on H&N CCT, program conditions, implementation and monitoring processes, payment system, and appeals and grievance redressal system;
- Coordinate the design and production of the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) material for the beneficiaries, stakeholders and general public;
- Supervise the implementation of social mobilization, outreach and communication campaigns;
- Work closely with the implementing partners and stakeholders to ensure that the local structures identified the social mobilization, communication and beneficiary outreach are strengthened and maintained as per program objectives and the Operations Manual;
- Identify any inconsistencies in the implementation of social mobilization and communication process and provide corrective measures; and
- Document lessons learned on the Outreach and Communication Strategy implementation and suggest improvements in the strategy.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of higher secondary school certificate, preferably supported by a university degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in public and/or private sector with provincial/national/ international organization(s) demonstrating evidence of social mobilization, communication and/or beneficiary outreach at the strategic and field level
Skills & Competencies: - Hands on experience of developing and implementing communication and social mobilization strategies for the field operations;
- Excellent command on MS package;
- Strong familiarity with the provincial context, including different tiers of government and donor agencies operating in the area of Social Protection;
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative, multi-tier team environment;
- Good communication, people management, and writing skills.
Language: Excellent oral and written English and Urdu.
