Under the overall supervision of the Community Resilience Activity (CRA) Logistics Officer & direct supervision of the Procurement Assistant, the incumbent will be responsible for cleanliness of the whole office. In particular he/she will be responsible for the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Protect and guard office premises and equipment.
• Ensure that visitors are directed to the proper office/staff member. Unexpected visitors should be directed to the attention of the Supervisor.
• Ensure that all offices and windows are locked, computers and other electronic equipment is properly turned off, upon departure of staff members.
• Ensure that persons who are not IOM staff members are strictly not permitted on the premises of IOM after-hours, unless authorized /accompanied by IOM staff member. IOM staff members should be logged in and out after office hours, on weekends and on holidays.
• Occasional responsibility for taking telephone calls on a need’s basis. All callers should be requested to leave their name, title, telephone number and, as appropriate, information concerning the subject of their call. This information should be passed to the Supervisor at the earliest opportunity.
• Report/bring unusual circumstances to the attention of the Supervisor and the Security Focal Point immediately
• Ensure that the office is properly cleaned and washed including dusting of the electronic equipment.
• Ensure that all the Office Washrooms are properly cleaned.
• Operate the Generator & look after its fueling.
• Water the plants and assist in loading & unloading when & if required.
• Purchase of Daily food items from the market.
• Make & serve tea/coffee/Green tea to office staff & guests when & if required.
• At times serve as a runner.
• Such other duties as may be assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION:

• A lower middle school education from a recognize institute.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in a multicultural organization is an advantage.

LANGUAGES:

Required:

(specify the required knowledge)

• Language required for the position, for example: Fluency in Urdu and working knowledge of English.

Desirable:

• Desirable languages, for example: Pashto
