Your Typical Day at Work will look Like:

Work as cloud infrastructure implementation resource for compute hardware, virtualized infrastructure

Responsible to create/delate/housekeeping of virtual infrastructure

Responsible to support cloud infrastructure planning team in day-in day-out tasks

Responsible for ensuring demand management and associated implementation

Responsible to coordinate and collaborate with vendors/partners for infrastructure planning and subsequent implementation

Responsible to support internal teams in information compilation and reporting related to cloud infrastructure

Responsible to keep updating design documents

Responsible to coordinate with cloud operations to keep updated cloud infrastructure inventory

Coordination and collaboration with vendors to conduct site surveys for upcoming implementation

Coordination and collaboration with vendors/partners for hardware implementation

Coordination with vendors for proper evaluation of new versions, patches, firmware and security patches with timely implementation

Part of implementation team to ensure smooth delivery of Infrastructure design with successful on boarding of applications on IT Infra platform

Process writing to as per ITIL v3 standard to cover process like change management, configuration management, access management, service design to service improvement

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering

Work experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the same or relevant position in a reputed company. Experience in implementation of Infrastructure (Compute, Virtual Infrastructure, Storage, Operating Systems)

Certifications:

VMWare Certified Professional

Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)

Certified OpenStack Administrator

Certified OpenShift Administrator

Certified Kubernetes Administrator

Good to Have

Previous experience on designing and deploying IAAS and PAAS

Deployment experience of OpenStack and VMware based Virtual Infrastructure

Deployment experience of SAN Storage and backup and recovery solution

Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas

1. Knowledge of and implementation experience in following key areas:

Knowledge of private cloud architecture

Knowledge and working experience in public cloud (AWS, GCP)

Knowledge and extensive working experience in Linux based operating systems i.e. RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu

Knowledge and working experience of system hardening (Linux and Microsoft Windows Server)

Knowledge and implementation experience in high availability clustering implementation

Knowledge and working experience in Ansible and scripting

Knowledge and deployment experience of OpenStack, OpneShift

Knowledge of Red Hat Ceph architecture

Knowledge of SAN storage administration and implementation

Knowledge and working experience on hhypervisor technologies (KVM, VMware) administration and implementation

Compute hardware (DellEMC, HPE) installation

Deep knowledge of x86 compute architecture

2. Working experience in hardware installation
