Terms of Reference

Introduction

Ipas Pakistan is a non-governmental organization that has been working since 2007 to decrease maternal mortality and complications from unsafe abortion in Pakistan through policy advocacy, and socially and culturally acceptable interventions, including training of health-care providers, supporting the sustainability of safe reproductive health technologies, and strengthening national partnerships in support of women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights. The main areas in which Ipas Pakistan is providing services are post abortion care (PAC), post abortion family planning (PAFP), and comprehensive contraception (CC) reaching out all women and girls of reproductive age group through close collaborations with public health facilities.

Ipas Pakistan also emphasizes the importance of counselling and services on PAC/PAFP/CC, including provision of technical assistance to teaching institutions and facilities for bringing safe procedure for UE/PAC and contraception services into uterine evacuation (UE)/PAC procedure areas, as these services are often provided in separate areas or facilities in Pakistan.

Ipas Pakistan office wants to show-case its activities, achievements, and working standards by highlighting the importance of PAC and PAFP and its role in preventing abortion related complications and reducing maternal mortality in Pakistan. For this purpose, Ipas seeks the services of a communications and graphic design consultant to design and develop the information & communication material.

Objectives of the Project:
To design and develop Ipas a and presentation to showcase Ipas work in Pakistan on women sexual and reproductive health & rights
To design and develop information & communication material for dissemination event
To develop short documentaries that depict Ipas history, achievements and interaction with Ipas trained health providers and community in the catchment population/area related to access and availability of quality of care which may include short testimonials/positive statements from Ipas trained providers.

Scope of Work :
Design and develop Ipas Pakistan organizational brochure and presentation capturing history/introduction, activities and achievements covering all the projects in Pakistan
Design and develop information and communication material which includes posters/backdrop, project briefs, standees, flyer/brochure, live streaming during the event, social media cards
Develop documentaries with specific coverage of the women in the community, positive statement from the healthcare providers, and sharing of success stories
Provide guidance for planning and assist in the preparation and set up of backdrops, booth, displays and presentation for Ipas Pakistan stalls at mega dissemination event
Format and finalize the relevant pictures which Ipas has collected during the events and activities already conducted to develop a photo gallery

Deliverables:
Following deliverables will be submitted by the communication consultant at the end of the contract:

Ipas Pakistan brochure and presentation
Ipas Pakistan local branding guidelines in accordance with global guidelines for setting up the backdrop, booth and displays for Ipas Pakistan stalls at major events
Three (03) Posters, three (03) project briefs, five (05) standees (different design), three (03) flyer/brochure, three (03) social media cards and infographics (the numbers mentioned are tentative, and may change upon finalization of the themes)
Two short documentaries, with one focusing the success stories, and other covering the community intervention (the numbers mentioned are tentative, and may change upon finalization of the themes)
Communication and project plan for dissemination event to be organized by Ipas Pakistan in the month of December 2019
Assist relevant Ipas team members in formatting and finalizing the presentations by incorporating necessary infographics in the presentations which will be used during the event
Ipas photo gallery the showcase all major activities and events which either Ipas Pakistan has conducted, or has participated in.

Reporting:
The consultant will work in close coordination with dissemination event committee and close supervision and support of committee chair over the period of 3 months which will cover the planning, implementation, conduction, and closure of mega dissemination event planned in the month of February 2019.

Duration of the project

The project implementation and planning will begin in the month of December 2019, the event for which the deliverables are required is planned in the month of February 2020. The contract will be signed for the period December 2019 to February 2020.
