What is Expert Financial Planning amp; Reporting?

Expert Financial Planning amp; Reporting will provide key support to Statutory Reporting Analyst and Expert Management Reporting amp; Analysis liaising with Jazz Accounting and Service Operations team to ensure accurate month-end accounting and reporting and to ensure all statutory reporting for the carved-out entity follows relevant regulations and accounting standards.

In addition, the individual will assist in analyzing and developing dashboards based on data obtained from BI, Shared Services, Mobilink Microfinance Bank and FPamp;A to create a complete analysis of the performance of the DFS segment.

Individual’s main responsibility will be to assist in all reporting related DFS requirements as well as assist in other areas of Finance as and when the need arises, liaise with developing a complete analysis of the performance of the DFS and Bank segments. In addition, individual’s responsibility will include competitive analysis, DFS’s OPEX and CAPEX management and periodic DFS management reporting.

What does Expert Financial Planning amp; Reporting do?

• Build strong relations with key stakeholders within Technology, Commercial, Finance Service Operations and Channel functions.
• Develop understanding of all DFS related financial targets amp; KPIs
• Develop detailed understanding of ongoing and upcoming capital investment projects and related capex requirements
• Develop detailed understanding of ongoing and upcoming OPEX projects and related OPEX requirements
• Develop understanding of Governance, project approval and appraisal process templates
• Obtain understanding of FPamp;A role in terms of co-ordination, preparation, review, local/HQ approvals and post-implementation review of CAPEX investment/business cases
• Develop and manage methodology for obtaining HQ approvals/review of all matters which warrant HQ involvement/approvals, e.g. claims/penalty settlements etc.
• Develop a robust methodology for involvement at strategy level, idea generation, assessment, appraisal, authorization, implementation, and review
• Understand external audit requirements and ensure that the process is in place for all required audit evidence availability
• Ensure that Jazz Investment Committee policies/charter is up to date in line with HQ / Group policies / Authority Matrix
• Co-ordinate between Procurement, Commercial, Technology, Taxation, Legal and all concerned stakeholders to close the business case within stipulated timelines
• Work on ad-hoc business cases/requirements as and when required
• Liaison with Corporate Accounting and Accrual Management teams on regular basis.
• Collaborate with technology teams to formulate 5 years’ OPEX business. This includes review of inputs received, substantiating through analytical procedures, setting projects timelines, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
• Work with teams amp; other stakeholders for developing robust quarterly and rolling forecasts.
• Coordinate with group teams for validation of business plans/budgets and periodic forecasts
• Analyse and report key performance indicators and advise Management on adjustments amp; actions required
• Deal with budget owners to resolve their queries and provide visibility regarding Actual vs Budget spend; devising plans to close actualization gaps, measuring exchange gain/loss impacts on budget; and mediate discussion on monthly results amp; indicators, future forecasts amp; sensitivity analysis of required action plans
• Coordinate with auditors and SOX teams for audits

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Expert Financial Planning amp; Reporting?

• 5-8 years’ work experience in the field of Business Planning in Telecom or DFS
• CA, ICMA, ACCA (finalist/ qualified) and/ or MBA (Finance)
• Self-driven and intellectually curious individual able to carry out impactful discussions with senior stakeholders influencing strategic priorities
• Sound stakeholder management; able to build strong credible partnerships
• Future focused to create and lead change strategy and complex transformation
• Strong communicator with the ability to present succinct and well-articulated thoughts at platforms of varying seniority and context
• Soft skills and technical skills required
