ROLE PURPOSE & CONTEXT:
As a head of the department, the GM (QA) will responsible for end to end management of quality functions with key roles including:
Management of Quality functions in plant to ensure CNH standards in production process and CBU products.
Lead teams responsible for Process Quality Control, Product Quality Assurance and Supplier Parts Quality Assurance.
Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive management team, related to Plant matters.
Planning & execution for annual budget for the department
Advising on long-term business and financial planning
Establishing and developing relations with senior management
Reviewing all INA recommendations for implementation
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Quality Control & Management
Ensure incoming parts quality confirmation carried out in quality lab at planned frequency. (KPI - PPM)
Quality control at each production line (KPI - Defect per unit)
Straight pass ratio at PDI & Tractor line as per target (KPI – SDR)
Develop parts inspection standards for suppliers and issue to suppliers.
Ensure suppliers are following PIS through periodic supplier audits (KPI – Supplier audit frequency / result)
Feedback and follow-up of supplier related quality problems in plant and from customer. (KPI – problem resolution time)
Manage destructive/non-destructive tests in-house and from outside laboratories in coordination with other related departments
Develop new functions
Set up system to carry out customer quality audits within plant as per guidelines by CNHi. (KPI – CQA result)
Develop Customer quality engineering function to investigate and resolve customer complaints (KPI – problem resolution time)
Carry out audit within plant periodically to ensure all Quality Control measures are as per plan (KPI – audit result)
Develop quality map and QA network to introduce built in quality at process.
Continuous Improvements
Continues improvements through statistical quality control, performance reports, feedbacks, corrective & preventive actions in production process
Evaluate, report and track key quality indicators to determine the need for corrective and preventive actions at vendor end
Lead in evaluation of new technologies & tools to be adopted for AGTL processes & products
Carry out quality related judgements
As Chief Engineer Quality, take responsibility of all product durability and product assurance related decisions.
Approval authority for quality of newly developed parts.
Leadership & Development of Team and New Department
Develop new Quality Assurance Department with all SOPs for all 3 sections within.
Recruit & Develop new team and provide leadership to achieve all goals & KPIs.
Develop succession plan for whole dept.
Analysis for training needs and enhancement of skill set of QA staff
Develop Manual
Develop Supplier Quality Assurance Manual for AGTL describing system for supplier quality assurance.
Strategic Collaboration
Work with CNHi to understand gap between World class manufacturing system and AGTL
Develop plan to achieve bronze status in 3 years.
Education: B.E from reputed Engineering university (UET / NED / NUST etc)
Minimum Experience and Knowledge: Minimum 15 years’ experience in automotive industry including at least 5 years in Quality Assurance.
Job-Specific Skills: Demonstrable Analytical & Leadership skills to manage & motivate the young team. Excellent hands-on engineering skills. Ability to lead a team and be able to work as an individual.
