What the first 30-60-90 days in the job will look like?

Within 30 days you will:
-
Attend and graduate from our company-wide on boarding process along with a detailed orientation program where you will learn about Jazz’s core values, business, and products

Meet the relevant stakeholders concerning your team
-
Develop understanding of your division, function, its structure, and your role within the team.

Review/ work on daily basis requirements issued by regulatory bodies regarding information and data provision under the license and regulation.

Formulate Public Relations policy (in regulatory perspective) with a purpose to bridge gap between Regulator/ Law Enforcement Agencies and similar Government departments on specifically assigned engagements related to telecom policies and regulations.

Within 60 days, you will:
-
Bridge good relations with strategic stakeholders on assigned work streams including regulatory authorities, policy making institutions in the telecom sector and bridge healthy dialogue for considerations of various policy matters on the basis of ground reality, workability and merit.

Collaborate with the internal stake holders, identify key stakeholders (SHs) in the Public and Private Sectors, identify gaps, target areas and prepare engagement plan for the Stake holders in line with the Jazz agenda.

Advise Head Public Policy & Regulatory Affairs in relation to achieving resolution with stakeholders on relevant policies and regulatory matters on technical merit.

Cyber Security and related matters are of high importance; thus, you should have fair knowledge of cyber security and should be able to collaborate and work with the law enforcement agencies and other related stakeholders for industry friendly outcomes on the subject policy measures of the GoP.

Within 90 days to onwards you will:

Develop resolution strategies on various regulatory / public policy related matters (which will be assigned time to time)

Ensure that all regulatory matters are pursued with full compliance and best ethical parameters (internal and external)
Undertake strategic regulatory engagement review with reference to upcoming areas in digital policy as per Jazz future digital ambition. Propose and facilitate achievement of digital policy advocacy objectives accordingly as required.
Effective execution of role on above mentioned subjects to ensure avoidance of penalties and other regulatory remedies, protection of revenue streams, and avoidance of disadvantageous conditions and requirements.
Any other task within the ambit of Jazz business in Pakistan
A Bit About You:
We are looking for someone who has at least 25 years of experience and has delivered on challenging projects and has taken end to end responsibility from planning to execution. An ex -government / Ex-Armed forces officer will be a plus.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to build excellent relationship with key stakeholders. The individual should have sound communication skills; these skills are key to meet the performance expectations for this role.

The Regulatory Affairs & Public Policy Department is part of the Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Division. The team is responsible for managing Regulatory and Public Relations portfolio at Jazz.
The structure of the team you will join is:

A 12-member team (including the department head)

You will be reporting to the Head of Regulatory Affairs & Public Policy
The two (02) main priorities of the team as a whole are:

Improve relations between Regulator/Law enforcement Agencies and similar Government departments

Recommend ways to the business in achieving resolution with relevant stakeholders on relevant policies and regulatory matters
The three (03) must have past experiences the candidate should have.
Demonstrated relationship with relevant stakeholders at highest level in government agencies especially regulatory bodies & Law enforcement agencies etc.
A graduate degree from recognized institution is a must. Qualifications relevant to Telecom, Electrical Engineering/ICT are preferred
The must have technologies the candidate should have.
