The Role: The main purpose of this position is to assist head of sustainability and lead the assessment, reporting & follow-up activities of Telenor’s Supply Chain Business Assurance for monitoring compliance of Telenor’s HSSE & SA requirements in the Supply Chain as outlined by the Telenor Supplier Conduct Principles, through a cross-functional team of HSSE Auditors, and in coordination with Contract Owners.

Your Impactful goals will include:

To achieve Telenor Group & Pakistan’s supply chain sustainability KPIs/Objectives.

To manage overall Supply Chain Sustainability Program.

To ensure a safe, sustainable and compliant supply chain in line with Telenor’s supplier conduct principles.

To build partnership and collaboration with suppliers to achieve responsible supply chain.

Essential Responsibilities/ How will your typical day look like:

Assist the head of sustainability in running the overall HSSE monitoring, follow-up & reporting activities as per Telenor’s supply chain sustainability policy & requirements

Assist the head of sustainability in implementing ABC/SCP towards supply chain

Conducting detailed investigations of HSE & labor laws related accidents/incidents, root cause analysis, preparation of articulate investigation reports including tracking of action item completion

Lead the Internal HSE audit program. Follow-up with Internal HSE auditors on the audit plan, schedule, and reporting deliverables

Coordinate closely with procurement & contract owners in supporting pre-contractual HSSE risk assessment of new suppliers, as well providing necessary support in the ABC/SCP contractual implementation

Process owner for HSE documents & procedures for HSE

Review all external HSE documents, procedures, and policies applicable to Telenor Policy and recommend necessary changes

Assist head of sustainability in organizing HSE Auditors Meetings, issue minutes of meetings, and follow-up on action points

Facilitate and provide lead support in external HSE compliance audits

Act as local resource for general information on HSE best practices initiatives, including the dissemination of HSE educational material. Develop and update knowledge to act as a technical expert in the field of HSE best practices & methods. Stay up to date with changes to applicable HSE legislation and emerging issues/trends in HSE management systems concepts, and analyses and communicates the impacts to management

Prepare detailed HSE training requirements for Telenor Pakistan, in consultation with head of sustainability

Liaison between management and staff on all matters relating to health, safety and environment to ensure consistent application and understanding of policies and procedures. Coordinate with teams within TP in connection with HSE related issues. Participate in meetings with vendors & suppliers for HSE related issues

Draw up a HSE improvement roadmap for TP in consultation with head of sustainability

Provide Lead Support in project management of all TP-wide HSE improvement projects/programs & initiatives

Support other Divisions of Telenor Pakistan in planning & implementing HSE control & monitoring processes

What we’re looking for?

Basic Qualifications

Graduate from a HEC recognized institute

Preferred Qualifications:

Internationally recognized certifications pertaining to the field of HSE including Lead Auditor Courses on SA 8000, ISO14001, 45001 & NEBOSH IGC

Work experience:

5 -7 years of experience in HSE field.

Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas

Able to interpret, evaluate and apply regulations, policies and procedures to a wide variety of work situations

Skill in analysis, developing alternative courses of action, and decision making

Ability to originate change and influence others at all levels of the organization

High level of integrity

Should be patient, persistent and enjoy problem-solving

Excellent communication skills - Must be able to communicate problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to superiors and stakeholders

Show initiative and enthusiasm under minimal supervision

Must be very flexible and adaptable to any change, tight deadlines, and time constraints

Must be available for work related travel on short notice
