About the role:

We are looking for an IT Specialist to take care of all our IT needs. You will be responsible for installing or upgrading components, setting up software, assisting with network administration, and resolving all IT support issues. To be successful as an IT Specialist, you should have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies. Top candidates will also have an amiable personality, and an aptitude for customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Run regular checks on network and data security
• Monitor daily operations, including hardware, software and operating systems
• Develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
• Share the responsibilities of segregation of duties globally
• Conduct regular system audits
• Run and share regular operation system reports with senior staff
• Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates,upgrades, migrations and outages
• Manage and report on allocation of IT budget
• Identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment

Requirements

• Proven working experience as an IT Specialist or relevant experience
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
• Expertise in data and systems governance
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
• Hands-on experience with Windows Domains, Active Directory, and Group Policies
• Hands-on experience with VPNs, Intranets, and WAN
• Ability to manage personnel
• BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field

• Proactive nature and meticulous attention to details.
• Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, leadership and problem solving skills.
