• Capacity for quality teaching across programmatic levels
• Ability to supervise graduate students
• Ability to write grants/procure extramural funding
• Scholarship in a defined area of focus as evidenced by peer-reviewed high-quality publications, high-quality at national and international fora, change in practice or policy and/or other forms of dissemination

• Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent (such as FCPS) in Anatomy
• A medical degree and post-doctoral fellowship experience is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of Anatomy and ability to teach and train medical, MPhil, PhD students and contribute to other academic programmes of the Department and the University
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership and mentoring skills.

• Experience in teaching, learning and assessment across programmatic levels, particularly in a clinically oriented manner, using evidence-based pedagogical approaches
• Experience of course or curriculum development, implementation and management
• Experience of supervising graduate students
• Evidence of scholarship and research in a relevant field
• Experience in raising independent funding for research and conducting research projects
• Experience with mentorship.
