We are looking for a Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services team.

As a Technical Consultant, you'll be a part of an integrated consulting team, instrumental in driving technology adoption and value realization for our customers.

Role overview and how exactly will you contribute:

The Technical Consultant will support client’s business transformation with a holistic consulting model. You will help analyze and audit clients’ current state, identify needs, and recommend the appropriate solutions. Through strategic planning, business process improvement, rapid design and delivery of technology solutions, you will drive innovative solutions for our clients, based on NCR’s portfolio of physical and SaaS-based products and services.

In this exciting role, you will:

• Work at customer site and in a team environment
• Ensure the NCR solutions are configured appropriately to carry out the client’s business functions
• Adequately implement NCR solutions for our customers
• Pay close attention to details and deadlines and provide timely status and escalations
• Troubleshoot technical issues with TCP/IP networking and Window Operating Systems as part of the client implementation
• Review and analyse logs for issue triage and ticket creation
• Become a trusted advisor to our customers
• Serve as a customer advocate within the rest of the NCR organization
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an NCR proprietary solution suite
• Provide training and coaching on the use and operation of NCR solutions

This role requires a combination of qualities that will support you in leading business and technical initiatives at the industry or domain level at NCR:

• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent work experience
• Extensive in providing client facing professional services
• Strong (written) communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems
• Experience troubleshooting TCP/IP network issues including gateways, firewalls and DNS issues
• General knowledge of XML, and relational databases, SQL
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems using sound judgment and experience
• Must be able to travel internationally approximately 25% based on client need
   

+ Ideal Technical Consultant candidate treats:

• General knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
• Banking, hospitality, and/or retail industry experience
• Experience working in a project-oriented environment
