The Regulatory Research Specialist is responsible for regulatory road-map execution, building and maintaining rapport with the regulators, instructor of records, vendors and external contractors, LEA etc. that impacts the product line.
This position is also responsible to work with the regulators at a state and national level to develop and maintain a knowledge-based related to state and national requirements for student and corporate level.
The person will also be expected to make recommendations on the course topics, titles and potential business opportunities within regulated frame-work of that product line as well as recommendations for which courses should be retired.
The person directly reports to the Manager and/or Director of Regulatory and Compliance. This position is aligned within the product management team, so that product line managers take well informed decisions under regulated frame-work, right according to the rules and regulations while ensuring compliance and managing potential regulatory risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible to have a clear understanding of all the regulatory requirements and approval/ compliance process for the assigned libraries.

Responsible to have precise and accurate documentation and interpretation of regulatory law and provide the accurate and required information to Product Development teams and PLM.

Responsible to work with regulators at a state, County, Department and National level to develop and maintain a knowledge-based related to all levels' regulatory requirements.

Serves as a point of contact and serve as a face of the company in all regulatory departments for the assigned libraries and product line.

Assist the dedicated renewals and reporting teams whenever required in all the issues related to the course approvals, course renewals, compliance reporting and mandatory content updates.

Maintain a system for documenting, tracking and managing all regulatory filings, updates.

Submit all required forms for all new course/providership approvals in a timely manner whenever the course has been out from the production.

Responsible to do a Q/A for all the courses/products that have been released from the production to make sure they are meeting all the regulatory requirements and should be submitted to the regulator for regulatory review by meeting the 5 days SLA.

Responsible to get the new course "demo" approvals loaded in ACM before submitting it to the regulator for review and approval (responsible to create and provide required CCT, Certificate Template, Regulatory Information etc.)

Monitor closely all the course and providership renewals to make sure all the course and providership renewals are submitted in timely manner.

Conduct an ongoing research pertinent to meet industry compliance education requirements.

Responsible to proactively make recommendations for appropriate course titles that would fulfill certain regulatory requirements as well as recommendations for which courses should be retired.

Ensure all the regulatory products, metadata, regulatory information and promos are correctly appearing on the portals with assistance and guidance from the Product Managers.

Provide assistance for PLM in the Vertical Team Meetings related to the regulatory information and updates.

Responsible to make sure all customers regulatory issues (JIRA) tickets (ACS), PSCH tickets, Business Cases, PIT tickets, PIR tickets, ACK tickets are resolved in a timely manner and make escalations whenever necessary.

Support the PLM of the industry as a backup for all the regulatory information or any key changes/updates happening in the assigned library and product lines.

Gather new market intelligence and market analysis by doing intensive regulatory and competitive research.

Responsible to do research and identify new markets and identify the key strategic plan for opening market by doing intensive competitive analysis.

Must possess ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the regulators, accrediting agencies and officials of the government organizations that influence our business.

Must possess ability build and maintain strong relationships with external stake holders including but not limited to instructors, time-study contractors, subject matter experts, royalty partners and vendors etc.

Must possess working knowledge of tracking regulatory rule change and proposed regulations.

Educational Requirement:
Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration or any other equivalent degree is preferred. Other areas of study providing similar skill sets and experience can be also considered.
Experience Requirement

Must have at least three years of working experience in any relevant industry providing similar skill sets required by the job.

Hands on experience with regulatory risk and compliance management, compliance reporting or research and audits

Strong knowledge of product line and e-learning business model.

The knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including advance use of spreadsheets is a must.

Understanding of American English Accent is preferred.

Candidates with HSE, ISO, and corporate governance compliance and research experience are also encouraged to apply.
