Background

The Merged Areas Governance Project is a unified project across the Merged Areas to build the capacity of government institutions and assist the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the integration and mainstreaming of these districts. The project provides technical assistance to introduce and enhance inclusive and responsive governance structures, support the extension of rule of law institutions and services, implement evidence and information-based policy and planning, improve financial and economic management and build implementation capacities at all levels. Candidates in search of an opportunity to work on a historically significant programme that presents unpredictable challenges are encouraged to submit their candidacy.

We are looking for a qualified team leader to manage a core project component and provide effective guidance. You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis. As a team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. Ultimately, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals.

Skills:

• Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
• Solid understanding of Government
• In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
• Good PC skills, especially MS Excel

• Proven experience managing high-value public sector relationships
• Problem-solving attitude
• Aptitude for fostering positive relationships

Benefits

Initial contract to be 1 year. Extension subject to performance, funding, and an enabling environment. The incumbent will be expected to travel to the Newly Merged Districts of KP.
