The primary purpose of this role is to look after the Treasury functionality of the geography, allocation of the cash management funding spreads, manage the funding book including FX execution. Additionally, the position would prepare the sales tax reconciliations, Execute WHT payments and handling the information requests received from regulatory authorities. The position will also require to have insight of the ledgers and prepare the Balance sheet reconciliations for the Admin and CASC ledgers.

Principal Accountabilities:

Involved in process of month end activities including preparation and review of monthly COGS, commodity wise PnL and mark to market valuation entries, also providing support in extracting some customized reports (SGA & COGS) from JDE. 20%
Responsible to prepare daily Bank reconciliation and ensure timely communication to concerns and direct liaison with Bank for any rectifications.
Responsible for the preparation of Balance sheet reconciliation in accordance with Cargill policies and ensure timely communication to concerns for any significant unreconciling item and ensure balances are appropriately recorded. 20%
Support trade execution team in inventory management of Pakistan ex-tank stocks which includes movement of inventory flow within CTS from entering purchase contract to generation of invoice and also circularize stock position report with management. Should independently handle CTS system issues in liaison with regional support team whenever arrived. 25%
Handling local treasury function of Cargill Pakistan which include, bargaining and locking FX rates for outward and inward remittances after benchmarking with other Banks in Market, monitoring of FX hedging exposure related to commodities. 10%
Negotiate TDR rates for placements related to retirement funds, also involved in reviewing and assessing interest charge allocated for a period and challenging the banks (if required). Management of bank documentation (eg: Finance agreements, FATCA, CRS, BBFS etc.) in liaison with Singapore treasury. 5%
Ensures compliance with applicable tax laws, processing of withholding tax payments along with reporting / filing of data, provincial and federal taxation authorities 5%
Preparation and distribution of withholding income / sales tax certificates with suppliers / vendors 5%
Monitor customer’s AR aged balances and effectively follow-ups for timely receipts of due/ overdue amounts. Make recommendations to the credit team for provisioning for doubtful debts in accordance with Cargill US gaap policy for Bad and doubtful debts. 5%
