Under the overall supervision of Community Resilience Activity (CRA) Logistics Officer and the direct supervision of Procurement Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in all project vehicle issues related with the IOM CRA Office in Islamabad, Pakistan. Specifically, he/she will establish and maintain a high level of support by.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s).
• Find the most direct and safe route over the best available roads to the destination.
• Ensure that the IOM vehicle(s) is used only for official/authorized business, as advised by the supervisor.
• Maintaining automobiles in clean, polished, flawless operating condition.
• Maintain and operates communications devices, emergency response and contingency equipment, including fire extinguisher, flares or reflectors, chains, shovel, blankets, survival supplies, defensive and diversionary devices.
• Visually inspect and manually test vehicle pre-departure and before accepting passengers.
• Maintain a logbook of the vehicle and ensure trip sheet is signed by the user.
• Maintain records of vehicle maintenance and inform immediately about any maintenance problems or damage to the vehicle.
• Obey all traffic laws and limits.
• Respond to medical emergencies occurring to passenger's en route.
• Be fully aware of and understand all Standing Operating Procedures laid down IOM for travel in Pakistan.
• Work in a close relationship with the head of IOM transportation and be available to carry out duties such as rota duty driver at night and at weekends when tasked and required.
• Collect and delivers mail I documents as assigned in a timely manner.
• Keep a high degree of confidentiality and discreteness in discussions, which involves IOM and its officials.
• Ensure that the steps required by the local and IOM rules and regulations (pertaining to driving) are taken in case of involvement in an accident.
• Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION:

• A lower middle school education from a recognize institute

EXPERIENCE:

• At least two years of experience driving UN/INGOs vehicles.
• Driving in newly merged Tribal Districts (previously known as FATA) is advantageous.

LANGUAGES:

Required:
